Dr. Unal

Optometrist

Dr. Unal received her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Physiology from the University of California, San Diego. She then moved to the east coast where she attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree in May 2007. The program allowed her to gain a wide range of academic and clinical experience through her externships with Wills Eye Institute trained ophthalmologists and well-established optometrists.

Dr. Unal continued on to her residency at The Eye Institute of PA College of Optometry. This extensive experience helped her to grow knowledge and improve hands-on skills in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases and contact lens fitting. Dr. Unal is certified by the CA Board of Optometry to diagnose and treat glaucoma. Since completing her training she has been working at private practices where she utilizes her thorough training and knowledge.

Dr. Unal returned to southern California in early 2012. She loves the warm weather and the beaches.
